We are comprised of fully volunteer members who are office workers, farmers, retirees, student's, retired and current military, law enforcement, government, state and county employees, registered nurses, paid city firefighters and paid EMT's.
Members of The Melrose Fire Company make up the Melrose Fire Department by serving as Firematic and/or Emergency Medical Technicians with the Melrose Fire District.
The Melrose Fire Company hosts several community events and fundraisers throughout the year. We are a 501(c)(3) corporation.
Members of the Melrose Fire Company are dedicated to safeguarding lives and properties through effective fire prevention, education, and emergency response services. Our trained professionals are committed to serving our community with excellence, pride and professionalism.
We are dedicated to giving back to our community through our community events.

Join Our Mission
Whether you want to volunteer, receive training, or support our initiatives, there are many ways to get involved with Melrose Fire Company. Together, we can make a difference in fire safety and community resilience. All Firematic members must be Company members.
To apply for membership: Click 'Get Involved' Fill out and print the application and background check form and bring it to a company meeting or District Drill night. Blank copies are available at the station.
Company Meetings: first Wednesday of each month at 7pm. Excluding July and August.
District Drills: Every Thursday at 7pm, members may not be present at the firehouse on every drill night. We do go out to mutual aid departments for drills occasionally.
